Here's What You Need for Basic Sun Tea:

  • 1 warm, sunny day

  • 2 quart clear GLASS container with lid

  • Water

  • Tea Bags

  • Flavorings (optional)
    1. Place 4-6 tea bags in glass container. Fill with water. Cover the jar with lid.

    2. Set outside in a sunny spot. Let the tea brew in the sunlight for 4 hours.

    3. After 4 hours, take the tea inside. Remove the tea bags from the jar.

    4. Refrigerate until the tea is cool or poor over ice. If you want, add lemon or sugar for flavoring. Enjoy!

    Punch Sun Tea Recipe

    2 quart clear GLASS container with lid

    water

    6-8 tea bags

    3 oranges, freshly squeezed

    6 lemons, freshly squeezed

    1/3 cup honey

    1/2 bunch mint (optional)

    Place tea bags in glass container. Fill with water. Cover the jar with lid.

    Set outside in the sun. Let tea brew for 4 hours.

    Remove tea bags from jar. Stir in juice from squeezed fruit. Add honey and mint, if using.

    Serve over ice & enjoy!




    Russian Sun Tea Recipe

    2 quart clear GLASS container with lid

    water

    3 orange flavored tea bags

    1 lemon flavored tea bag

    1 cinnamon stick

    1 clove

    1 teaspoon sugar

    orange slices (optional)

    Fill glass container with water. Add sugar. Stir until dissolved. Add tea bags, clove and cinnamon stick.

    Set outside in a sunny spot. Let the tea brew in the sun for 6-8 hours.

    Refrigerate until cool or pour directly over ice. Garnish with oranges. Enjoy!
